Canyon Road Silk Pañuelo

Texas-based artist and surface designer Mercedez Rex brings a background in photography and textile design to the centuries-old art of water marbling. Each piece captures a fleeting moment of color in motion, hand-stilled on silk, leather, or paper. Since launching her namesake line in 2016, she has collaborated with fashion and interiors brands and created custom commissions for homes and commercial spaces.

About the Canyon Road design, in her own words: "She rides like a road trip through a sun-soaked desert, where dusty pink sunsets meet turquoise skies and brown cliffs stand like ancient sentinels."
